A hair mist is a fragrance delivery problem. Alcohol-heavy formulas give a clean top note and a dry finish but can dull the cuticle; water-based systems are kinder to hair and much harder to preserve and to keep clear.

Frequently asked questions
Will an alcohol-free hair mist stay clear?
It can, but it needs a solubiliser package matched to the fragrance. A water-based mist carries real microbial risk as well, so the preservative is selected against the fragrance system rather than chosen independently — those two decisions cannot be made separately.
Why does a mist cloud in cold weather?
Clarity at low temperature is set by the solubiliser-to-fragrance ratio. A mist that clouds in a cold warehouse is a return waiting to happen, so cold-storage clarity is checked at sample stage.
What fragrance load can you run?
Up to about 3%, confirmed per brief. Above that the solubiliser demand rises sharply and the pack and the formula have to be reworked together.
Is a hair mist the same as a perfume?
No. A hair mist is formulated for hair — the solvent system has to avoid dulling the cuticle, and the fragrance level is far lower than an eau de parfum. It is a fragrance delivery problem specific to hair.
